As Long As Forever
Written By: James J. Metcalfe
I shall remember you for as long
As there are fields of snow,
And there are flowers in the ground
With strength to grow,
As long as there are stars above
And moonbeams on the sea,
And just as long as there are songs
Of love and memory.
I shall remember you today
And dream of you tonight,
And look for you tomorrow when
The sun begins to light.
Whatever season, month or year,
This much will be the same,
The only sound of joy will be
The mention of your name.
I shall remember you for as long
As there are earth and sky,
And all eternity
May take to say goodbye

Barbaro put forth more spirit and determination in his four short years of life than most do in a life time....
For those that knew and loved him he'll always be a Triple Crown Winner...he was simply a magnificent animal.
In heaven Barbaro you can take it to the finish line with all the guts and glory that you always had here on earth.
Rest in Peace Barbaro.

Throughout your journey I followed you
as I was always one of your biggest supporters.
I prayed that one day you could be wild again,
swimming free in open waters with your family again.
Although the news of your passing deeply sadden me, I knew your last years were good years,
your days spent roaming open waters and interacting with the ocean you loved.
You were coming as close to being wild as as you ever could be.
I now know that you are finally free, no man will ever hold you captive again.
You are truly, for the second time in your life, free at last...what a peaceful thought.
God speed dear friend, swim deep in the ocean you loved.
