There are simply not enough words in any language to describe this
little guy, nor my love for him. Bandit was one of those dogs we should all be fortunate
enough to have once in a life time. He was quiet, gentle, willing and able. There wasn't
anything this little dog wouldn't do or try for me. A beautiful, deep mahogany red, sound
and showy, Bandit finished his American championship in three consecutive shows and his
Canadian championship in one weekend. He also had the honor of winning the 9-12 puppy
class at the 1985 Papillon Specialty. He then went on to finish his CD and CDX titles in
seven shows, all first place wins.
I lost him during a routine dental cleaning and to this day I'm paranoid when my dogs
undergo this procedure. Years later a glimpse of his photo makes my heart heavy and my
soul feel deep regret. His passing left a tremendous void.
I miss him terribly.
